Recycling is not new in West Africa, we have always recycled out of necessity: spare parts are very difficult to find for machineries or vehicles.
For that reason, you will often find the engine of a nissan in a honda or the steering wheel of one brand of car in a different brand. So there are hybrid vehicles all over Africa out of necessity.
This market though is specifically geared towards recycling only...they re-work the spare metal parts to manufacture other useful products.
