In My Head - Jacki Lewis & Talyssa Topacio

"in my head" @ studio 429 featuring jacki lewis, talyssa topacio, nicole lewis, emmett agapay, kristen aguinaldo, and bianca vallar.

*this routine was the product of jacki lewis (Tru-Definition/P$ alumni), 14 years old, and talyssa topacio (P$), 12 years old, when they were assigned choreography projects and when me and bianca viewed it for the first time we were once again left in awe. i knew after that moment the public had to see their work but the question was how, and thats what led me to asking them to guest teach my class. off the bat the initial decision for them to instruct was due to their appealing choreography but as i was learning i found myself in awe by how they were leading the class as it was their first time instructing publicly. jacki seemed as if it was nothing new for her and definitely kept me as well as her students both younger and older than her attentive. from the way she paced the class, broke down every move, reviewed choreography, etc. she had every student of all level experiences feeling accomplished without getting frustrated. she was the recipient of the "next big thing" award for the primary source '07-'08 season and is surely living up to that title. all in all these two are just great students and a small portion of what studio 429 has in store for the future. this routine was inspired and dedicated to kristen aguinaldo and mari martin of choreo cookies.

we rarely see kids this young choreographing pieces liket his.. pretty sick how all the ones ive seen so far are the little ones from............... one and only studio 429.. gah. GAH. stop making me fall more and more in love with this studio :)
