Cable car across Barcelona port - Transbordador Aeri del Port. For amazing views of Barcelona city, don't miss the port cable car, which travels every 10-15 minutes across Port Vell of Barcelona from Montjuic mountain in front of the newly opened 5 star Miramar Hotel on Montjuic to the San Sebastia beach at Barceloneta. The cabins hold 19 persons and are suspended 70 m above the sea.
The red port cable cars was opened on 11th November 1931, probably as a late arrival for the 1929 World Exhibition in Barcelona. There are 2 cable car towers, Sant Sebastià on Barceloneta beach where you can get on and off and which has an exclusive restaurant called Torre de Alta Mar on the top floor.
The middle tower is called Jaume I and is in front of the World Trade Center and the five star Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel GL in Barcelona on the pier or quay called Moll de Barcelona or also called Moll 18.
