@candycane3482 That's an understatement. Every branch is looking for any reason to keep people out. I'm just glad that I kept clean my whole life so getting into the Marine Corps wasn't too hard for me.
@anewell41 "Keep it quiet?" You do realize they are returning to standards so they are going to be more strict about who they let in. I wouldn't encourage people to fraudulently enlist these days...
@Guido25897 The U.S. Army hires civilians, so if you look into that kind of thing you could probably find a job. Other than that, you are required to go through Basic to wear the uniform, as far as I know. Good luck!
@Guido25897 You can join with asthma but you have to keep it quite. My ex girlfriend finished basic at fort jackson and shes only 90 pounds. The Army has different levels or stress. You wont be able to be a ranger or airborne with asthma but as far as being supply etc you can. Talk to a recruiter they will let you know. I myself joined the Marine Corps

@Crazyman1212 There's more likely more to your story than you're letting on.

Guido: if you join the army as an ordained minister, professional doctor or lawyer you skip basic but you must have had all your schooling complete.
