  • Video was good, but would have been so much better without background music and with more of the real railroad sounds.

  • these guys are probably scared to death about some official catching them breaking some ridiculous rule and getting them fired. happens all the time. I feel bad for em that they have to be filmed and looked at under a microscope ALL day.

  • Hate to see this kind of sentiment among railroaders.... As a rail fan, I'm sure I don't get the full perspective, by a long shot, but having a relative in the business, I admire and respect the ones that make railroading careers the best they can. I know its a tough field with a lot of negative issues, but believe me, its not much different than any other job in that respect. God bless the railroader and their families! Super Nice video , by the way.

  • I've railroaded my entire working career and w/o a doubt I've had a "FU" attitude from time to time.

Instead of sitting back and complaining however, I decided to try and do something about it. It's more personally challenging for me to be a "leader" and try to tackle the massive problems facing our industry than to sit back and complain.

And I agree. It can be a nice job. Even when I was running I enjoyed it. Not always. But for the most part I did and do.

  • touche. an FU attitude is hard not to develop after a while on the rails. regardless, im not the one in charge of fixing it. the sooner our "leaders" realize there IS, in fact, a problem, the sooner we can take steps to develop a solution.

by "some", i sure hope u mean most. it seems like u do, but the way the ppl are, im just not convinced.

it could be a nice job if the environment changes...
