Each year in Ohio 38,000 to 56,000 children are abused or neglected. Family Violence is a serious healthcare concern. The AMA says $4.1 billion is spent every year on services to treat injuries resulting from this kind of violence. Karen Days, President of the new the Family Violence Coalition at Nationwide Children's talks about how domestic violence impacts children.

In April, the Center for Child and Family Advocacy (CCFA) merged with the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence (CCAFV). The combined new organization is now called the Family Violence Coalition at Nationwide Children's, bringing together the strengths of two well-established programs, both combating the impact of family violence.
