god i pray that the spirit shown by these men has not disapeared, is there any notion of honour left ? as a proud scottishman it shames me to look at ibrox and see thousands of my fellow scots wave that traitourous flag of great britania, what would a man like wallace or boru have made of our modern day man ? i am ashamed to live in this time of cowards and traitors

This song really tells the story of gritty occupation. indoctrination, use of child soldiers, disillusionment with weak leadership, glorification of martyrs and hatred for the treacherous or those lacking steel resolve. Change a few words around and this could easily be an Iraqi, Afghani, or Palestinian song.

@Mega11bravo My Father was born in Southern Ireland and joined the struggle for independence. That partly won he married a Scottish woman and spent 22 years in the British Army, fought from Norway to Anzio, and was twice mentioned in despatches. I think he could be called a "British Patriot".

@Mega11bravo no such thing as British ethnicity, only English, Welsh, Scots, etc. Britain and "Britishness" are inventions of the monarchy and the other evil imperialists.
