Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $2.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms.

  • I wonder what he means by 150 MPG equivalent. Based on the total energy stored in the car (electricity vs. gasoline), cost of fuel, or emissions?

  • @NeilSutherlandME It is energy equivalent. There are 36.6 kWh/US gal of petrol.

  • @chrisdawg002 You're guessing answers without making ANY attempt to learn the facts!

    1) It has 100 miles range

    2) Costs only $2 to fill

    3) With a fast charger can be filled in less than 20 mins.

  • @iceman241111

    Wrighspeed X1 - 220Bhp / 1536lb - 300bhp-ton

    Ariel Atom 300 - 300Bhp / 1005lb - 600bhp-ton

Yet the EV does the EXACT same time as the Atom with double the power to weight ratio, because EV motors have 100% torque from 0 rpm.

Hope you learnt something ICEman LOL

  • @SteelCityDucati YEAH, I COULD....

  • @LAMONTDAVIS3 COULD YOU TURN OFF CAPS LOCK?

  • COULD YOU ALL MAKE A CAR THAT DOSENT LOOK LIKE AND RACE CAR?

SOME LIKE 2012 CAMARO OR CHALLENGER?

HOW MUCH IS THE CAR IN THE VIDEO?

  • what's the top speed?

  • lets all not hate electric cars until we've actually driven one

  • @1992steffan Mate I live near a road and I fucking hate the noise of noisy engines going past every day. Some people can claim all they want how electric cars are going to take away the passion and soul and noise, but as far as I'm concerned they will bring a GLORIOUS reduction in noise pollution.

  • @iceman241111 When we're talking Top Speed then you are correct. When we're talking a 1/4 mile drag race from standstill, you're full of shit. Why? Because the consistent torque and lack of need to change gears gives electric drivetrains a flipping HUGE acceleration advantage to any COMPARABLE ICE set-up.

  • @chrisdawg002 You are idiotic. Tesla Sedan, 200-300 miles, 1 hour fast charge. Expensive? Yes. Will the prices come down as technology develops and mass production begins? yes, A LOT.

Plan to the future. Don't focus 100% on the present - that's a dumb as shit thing to do.

  • To the folks asking "Isn't that an aerial Atom?". Yes it is.

Same for the folks who look at a Tesla Roadster and ask, "Isn't that a Lotus Exige?".

  • @iceman241111 These electric cars do not have to contend with gears due to their far higher and far more broad torque delivery. This is why fuel cars completely lose out on acceleration against power to weight ratio..
