My favorite symphony because it displays the unique feel of British folk music tradition and the different moods of the London, both past and present. I first heard it on a cassette tape 40 years ago while traveling around the world by ship. I am glad that it is starting to appear on Youtube more and more, which I hope means that many people have discovered Ralph Vaughn Williams's music and this symphony in particular.
