My love and I are doing the very same thing with a Loflyte, same year! We have gutted the back so far and have just finished the structure that we are going to restore the trailer in (while we are living in it!) during the winter. Hoping to be finished with this project by the spring :D Please contact me so that I can pick your brain unless you have a blog (if so, direct me!) because we are very in love with our new home and want to fix it to our best ability.

What a fantastic job you have done. I had a new '59 similar to yours. Very small by today's standards but that's the fun of it!

I have a 1966 "todler " brand 13 ft. trailer, looks similar to yours, can't find the weight anywhere, would you know where to look or what it might weigh. Want to know if it's ok to pull with my 2009 colorado truck.

Great job on your Trailer. Old RVs just have a character that newer ones can't match. I't's nice to see them kept up, & restored

@mobiltec , Mobiletec, that cant be a 1966 round style, they changed over to a boxie look in 1964 I'm pretty sure its a 1963 or later? Your thoughts?

@WhalleyB0Y they changed the style in 1964 to a more boxie look, yours is not a 1966 more like a 1963

Great Song! Sounds like a Good Band...
Wow, living in one during the course of the winter? These campers had little to none for insulation and I had always considered them as California campers! Feel free to ask questions, myself or someone else viewing this video will surely comment

I looked all over the Shasta for a weight label but I ended up taking it through the truck scales to get an honest weight. With 2 layers of flooring and a heavy gauge aluminum skin coating we came in loaded at 3,564 lbs. My Dodge Dakota 4.8L magnum has no problems whatsover pulling it and stopping it. The Chevy Blazer seen in this video was feeling a little pushed around a bit for my liking. I am sure you will be fine.

Nice!! I like the Z-striping. Where did you get that? Did you make it? Nice overall color too! Let me guess, you're an auto body guy?

Thanks for the compliment! The Z striping is actually a product sodl by the roll available at any auto parts store. We wanted to use chrome sheet metal to cut out the pattern with but found it too costly to do this year. My wife picked out the updated color scheme, fabrics and paint. I wish I was an autobody guy so this project wouldnt have taken us 4 yrs to complete. /sigh

My pc was crashing hard while making this video. I didn't get to fix the errors. The trailer is actually a 1966 as per ID tag but they were all the same from 58 - 68 with only minor differences.
