Time for something a little more modern: my final run through Gradius Rebirth on my Japanese Wii(it's not a no-death run this time, and I say "final run" because I sold off my Japanese Wii - the sole purpose of having it was to get Gradius Rebirth before everyone else in North America. A "Take 2" video will be uploaded when I buy it again on my American Wii - I will make sure I have a no-death run before uploading the video).

As mentioned before, played on what used to be my Japanese Wii.

  • They're called Zubs

  • Zub? Isn't that a typo?

  • You got a Japanese Wii for a $10 game?

  • Initially, I had gotten a Japanese Wii to play the Gradius games that North America didn't have back when Gradius Rebirth was released in Japan, but I sold it off since Gradius Rebirth came to North America, and I have a TurboGrafx and TurboGrafx CD to play the ports of Gradius, Salamander and Gradius II for the TurboGrafx(although I have to rely on the Virtual Console for Gradius II because I don't have a Super System Card and my TurboGrafx CD is broken).

  • Ermm... Let me guess, you weren't expecting the volcanoes to erupt because you went through the snowy version of the level first, right? If so, then the Iron Maiden's not being there was probably a big surprise...

  • The snowy version was the one I was most used to, so I was not expecting the volcanoes to erupt.

Just as a word of note, I will be making a "Take 2" of this Gaming Session since I've got the English version on my Wii(remember that this was recorded off a Japanese Wii I no longer have) and was unable to show the storyline since it's ENTIRELY in Japanese on the Japanese version of Gradius Rebirth.

  • @PINKFLOYD725 Dude, gradius is japanese, so what do you expect

  • (from Gradius Wiki)

The Zub Rush consist of a series of respawning enemies which launch themselves towards the player with reckless abandon.

Other Name(s):Enemy Rush, Zeko Rush, Zabus Rush

  • Huh. I never knew that there was such thing as a Gradius game in Japanese Wii.

  • I wish they would fallow up on the anime with this series. It was awesome. :)
