  • My Williams EM machine does this at times as well.

The reset solenoid gets stuck, I manually reset it .

  • @rembrent65 start at the coin door and run a matchbook cover between the switch points

  • stuck, dirty switch

  • Looks like the same problem I am having. If I find the solution I will let you know: 1976 Gottlieb.

  • I had this problem last week wit my Star Trek: The Next Generation pinball machine. But we just opened it and cleaned it. Then we press the red button from the tests on the door, and it was successfully opened...

  • You can reach me at, texassteven29atyahoodotcom and let me know if you got it going again. Are you in Texas?

  • (Continued) When it does reach the number 9 and goes back to the 0 (zero) you will see one of those switchs open up. That one is the zero switch. carefully clean the contact or adjust the blades of that switch to where it will OPEN up when it does actually reach "0". This will give you an idea of what someone will do when they come in and help you fix the problem, unless you feel like you can do it yourself..by all means....that's how we learn...go for it or find me here and email me

  • I see in your video that the number 2 (in the 10th place) is stuck. Go behind the game and carefully pull out the score reel (if you know how) and inside the score reel, you will see some switches. One will be the the 9th place (That increments the digit in the hundred's place to advance to the next number) Now, with the power off, manually pull in the solenoid (that is what energizes and pulls in to make the wheel advance to the next number) Make the reel go to the number 9 (more - see below)

  • After you press the RED button on the door, you will see that the score reels (the numbers roll back to all zero's). If the machine does NOT roll all the way back , the machine will still think that the score reels are still not set back to all ZERO, thus, making that motor (it's called the score motor) run until it does set back to zero. Since it doesn't, you will need to go back behind the game and look at the score reels.(more to come)

  • I'll fix it for you for free if you bring it over to my house. I live in Middle Georgia. I can't tell by a video I would have to examine all the relays on the bottom of the cabinet. You could try to put a buisness card between each contact till it stops. I would start with the reset relay. Their is a contact somewhere that just needs a little cleaning with an emery board. The other problems you have are the same problems dirty contacts.
