Fifth (ans last) part of the 2006 documentary The God Delusion. Biologist and professor Richard Dawkins explores the unproven beliefs that are treated as factual by many religions and the extremes to which some followers have taken them.

Dawkins argues that the process of non-thinking called faith is not a way of understanding the world, but instead stands in fundamental opposition to modern science and the scientific method, and is divisive and dangerous.

  • Ive recently changed my religious views from christian to sceptic.. This made me think to going to atheism. It's all so... logical.

  • From a cynical viewpoint and this exaggerated and i actually don't mean this litterally...

Militant Muslims need extermination, Evangelical Christians need a bitch slap (not to say there aren't militant christians out there) and talkative Jews need a hat straightening.

  • We are all atheists, about most of the gods society ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further...

  • We as Muslims are not suppose to hate! Why YOU guys hating on us? U MAD? Can't we just live in peace in the country of freedom? peace

  • Wait 400 years and the world will be 80% atheist and agnostic.

  • @BintoFoShinto I think you mean Hitler (a) and Stalin (b):

    In a nutshell:

    (a) was a devout catholic, there are many refrerences towards god and his faith in "Mein Kampf" - he was even an altar boy and he was well revered among the Pope. He went even so far that his elite troops the SS wore belt buckles inscribed with "Gott mit uns" or "God with us"

    (b) may have been an atheist but his objectives were guided by political ideology; Marxism, later on to be known as Stalin-ism.

  • @ShinjukuHH why?

  • @maniacallyviolet thank you for your answer. :-) It's strange though that Mr. Dawkins does it too, maybe not to offend anyone.

  • Best thing about atheism: They don't initiate "Holy Wars"; They are more peaceful.

... and don't you dare to come up with Hitler or Stalin.

  • @JeanySullivan It's not a law, but it's a part of Islamic culture. Men cover up their arms like that as a sign of respect, to not be showing too much skin. Women cover up to "not tempt men". Islam encourages and enforces modest dress.

  • when i want to school a few years ago i had a muslim friend named Mariam, she was very nice. it is clear that religion dosn't determine moral makup. i have come to the conclusion that living with freedom destroyes the hatred that fills the people of the "holy lands". if the dome of the rock, or any other idol that those savages fight over gets destroyed it will be doing the world a big favor. im not saying they're savages because of their religion, they are savages for disregarding love.
