Daijiro Kato's fatal crash: various angles

The fatal crash of Daijiro Kato on 06/04/03 at Suzuka: many videos, the amateur one and the aftermath. Kato died on 20/04/03. A really sad day for MotoGP.

@CourtyardPigeon that part of the track was after a serious high speed section called 130 r . people would already be braking as hard as they could be pretty much . and you cant stop a group of racers that easily . you stop a few , then more come at race pace and rear end them . they are not going to get off in case no red flag . they usually throw up a yellow flag and everyone goes into no passing mode ... 70 percent pace . not easy to communicate without radios ..... like f1 has

I'm not a doctor, but they seem to need a better system of doing things in motorcycle racing...someone goes down and they don't slow the field, or stop them very fast..

I remember watching this race and didn't relies at the time how serious it was!! I don't think anybody did... Kato was one of the few riders that Rossi genuinely feared such a shame

@atishraja Guys like Daijiro, Valentino or Jorge are heroic to me and a lot of people because they are the best at what they do, they put their lives on the line everytime they swing a leg over their bikes, just the same as any biker in the world, they are heroic because they race, they win, they lose, they fall, they crash, they get up, dust themselves off, swing a leg over their bikes again and do it all over again, would you do that as many times as they have? Clearly not...
