July 18, 1969 a drunk Ted Kennedy would drive off a bridge and leave a young girl (Mary Jo Kopechne) to die in the back seat of his car. He did not report the accident for 9 hours. Lonnie, back in the 80s i saw a program and there was a guy on there who said the damage on the car could not have been caused by water, thats why the car was crushed after they took it out of the river,he had police photos he was showing to the host of the show, i think he was trying to say that the car was involved in another crash somewhere else. Did she know something she wasnt supposed to? Marilyn??? Anybody rememder this show, it might have been 20/20.

HH09: There have been many differant theories on what has happened that night. The videos I made are based on what the state police and detectives have said. The one detictive said "He (meaning Ted Kennedy) killed that girl the same as if he put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger".

What happened to Mary Jo is tragic, to be sure, and your account of the events is accurate. The problem I have with these 2 videos is that, imo, you come across as a bit too smug. Given your web name and operation, I have to wonder how much of your sentiment is genuinely heart-felt, and how much is just acting the part of one outraged.

I am quite familiar with the case. I tend the flowers at Mary Jo's grave every week.

Everyone suffered. All very sad.

murder by legal definition can be the stretched to include this incident because he killed her (whether or not he intended to is irrelevant) during the commission of a crime, or in his case, multiple crimes.

He should have been sentenced to the death penalty as you know any one of us probably would have received the same if we did the same. His conduct was inexcusable!

I read this book by Leo Damore when it came out. There are very few lies in it that I was able to see. The only LIAR was EMK. Mary Jo died in his car, what else is there to say?

Damore's book has so many lies to make the Kennedys look bad that it was rejected by Random House who demanded their $150,000 advance back. . It was eventually printed by Regerny, the right wing publisher of the Swift Boat book on Kerry. . Drunk driving laws were very different in 1969, and you had to be proved to deliberately intend to kill someone to be charged with a serious crime.
