POP... come on people Van Halen are Rockers.. Hard core Atomic Punk..Mean Streets... Rockin and rollin.. And AC/DC has a sound of thier own... If you want blood... Night Prowler... TNT... Rock on ... both of these bands are far from being Pop... back then Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cyndie Lauper was POP.. now we have Britney Spears Katie Perry Lady GAGA that is pop for this generation. Yeah, this video is from the 80's when POP music did not have the same negative meaning it has today, it more stood for Popular, wheras today Pop music has become pretty much synonymous with auto tuned crap. Heck even Jimi Hendrix was called POP by some journalists back in the 60's

Come on people. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. All he said that they were a little more pop than AC/DC. To that I say he's right. But, that's not putting Van Halen in their place. The interviewer is trying to get him to say something controversial but Angus didn't bite. Good on him. The rivalry question was loaded.Had they asked VH the same question,there's no telling what the answer might have been.Angus is as diplomatic here as you'll ever see him,but, Pop isn't the best description of Van Halen.Now...Van Hagar on the other hand,it's debatable.I'm sure Eddie doesn't consider himself a "pop guitar god" - Either way,they jam. What do you wanna bet Angus never had a VH poster in his room,but, I'd also bet Eddie had an AC/DC poster somewhere-or at least a f-ing t-shirt. funny
