@krackerwitagun Ray Bartons 426 Hemi makes 1020hp naturally aspirated and red-lines at 9,800rpm. It powers a 68' Hurst Dart that runs low to mid 8s, and the 426 Hemi was originally designed in 62/63. It still is a racing legend because nothing can match it. The fastest cars on the planet use that basic design. Pop a Ray Barton built Hemi stroked out to 472, or even 572 in a Daytona or Superbird and go Bugatti, Ferrari, and Lamborghini hunting........

@metalmaniac159 Classic Muscle Cars were much more powerful when they were king because of the lead in fuel. Leaded fuel has a much higher octane rating than the unleaded we use today for standard driving. If you consider the loss of the lead most old muscle cars lose a lot of their "muscle" when you pump in premium from your local gas station
