The Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth (CWCY) is a joint project of the Children and Family Justice Center and the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Laws Bluhm Legal Clinic.
The CWCYs mission is to uncover and remedy wrongful convictions of youth, as well as to promote public awareness and support for nationwide initiatives such as efforts to reform juvenile interrogation techniques aimed at reducing the frequency of wrongful convictions.
This is horrifying.

Please consider the West Memphis Three - their childhoods have been stolen.

Did you notice at the end many of the children falsely convicted were black? Does make you wonder if blacks are targeted more too. But to do this to children and manipulate them like this is just inexcusable.

I'm with you Moonglow. Scapegoating children with adult tactics has got to go. It looks to me that the influx of Afro-American crime in the last two decades has created a necessity to convict SOMEONE. But not an innocent child, c'mon.
This is a great cause. Let's put a stop to adult psycological tactics and scapegoating.

Gosh this is so incredibly sad. :( My heart just breaks for them and those children currently accused of murder that common sense even tells us they didn't do it. Here is is 2010 and we are just now getting a clue how easy is it to manipulate children into confessing to crimes they didn't commit? Good grief! Its sickening and such a tragedy! The goal of law enforcement needs to be finding the REAL killers, not just to use anyone as a scapegoat.
