ya. no one cud beat them when they had their way with it - never walk even for blatantly clear dismissals, threten umps to give decision in their favr, cling onto batsmen to prevent them frm running, claim grounded catches etc. once india showed the world how bad cheaters the aussies wer, things changed. the world started taking notice nd the aussies had to play proper- which is when they strted losing.

we had a whole generation of superstars over the last 20 years....
there is more talent coming yet... will mature well as we saw with brett lee and everyone else come through the system :) go aussies!

thats a very very good catch

cheats?
it's called the desire to win at all costs, within the law
players dont umpire, it's that simple.
agreed with the below poster
dont forget andy bichel & brad hogg - two unsung heroes

Everyone hates the Australians. Maybe because nobody can beat them. Everyone needs to stop being such sooks and just play the game. The umpires do the best they can, and then people give them a hard time when they make a mistake. It's easier to judge things from your couch than out in the middle.

cheats like aussies can win 16.....oh even 100 in a row
aussies dont deserve to play cricket......

talk about an unbalanced nation. your cricketers lose and then u have to blame it on the umpire. then when that isnt enough call the aussies cheats. what did the aussies and ricky ponting do wrong? u indians didnt say anything when sreesanth was given not out in the dieing stages of the third test against england which cost england the series. guess who was the umpire then. bucknor. the english didnt even complain then and good on them. any player is allowed a bad day so why isnt an umpire.
The main reason why the aussies have won so many times since the early 1990's is not because they cheat but because they have prouced some of the best cricketers of the modern time. Warne, McGrath, Ponting, Gilchrist, Hayden, Stuart Clarke, Mike Hussey, Steve Waugh and Ian Healy are all mordern legends and some of them are the greatest players who have ever played the game.

It certainly is, which is why a 3rd umpire (on a couch, if he so wishes) should be correcting the errors of the field umpires. I don't hold any bad feelings towards umps; but the simple fact is that umpiring cannot be done accurately by the naked eye. Time and time again we see this to be true. I'm more interested in having the right decisions made than preserving the 'sanctity' of tradition.
Oh, and I guess the "nobody can beat them" thing shouldn't be a factor any more.
