This opening session of the United Muslim Conference in Orlando, Florida deals with the mission statement of the Muslim ummah. Imam Siraj, drawing this statement from the Holy Qur'an, sets the tone for the conference by challenging the audience to understand and appreciate this mission while striving wholeheartedly to fulfill it. As bearers of the true message, do we really understand what Allah expects of us? Do we understand our role in society as a "balanced and just nation"? And are we ready and willing to follow the explicit commands laid out for us in the Qur'an? In one of the imam's most compelling lectures, he answers these pressing questions and urges the audience to fulfill their roles of being witnesses for all of humanity.
