Affton Americans Top Rockets to Earn State Hockey Crown

The Affton Americans edged the St. Louis Rockets 3-2, to win the 2010 Missouri State Hockey Championship (Mites - A2). Shown here are Lou Messmer's (#67) two goals, the crossbar he hits with a backhand shot, Tyler Atkinson's (#73) game winning goal, Lou's game saving backcheck, and the final 30 seconds of penalty kill to secure the win. There was then much rejoicing. Lou is also shown getting his championship medal and then leaving the ice as Queen's "We Are the Champions" blares.
