Just to conclude it's your opinion that you find his movies to be long and drawn out, cause your disability seems to make you think things don't connect or think character building (even if that character dies ,much like Vincent in plup fiction) is unimportant. the talks scenes in death proof talk about how the girls defend themselves either if it's just staying together or with a gun. if you notice when the second group is at the diner in the background at the bar is Stuntman Mike watching them

And the reason that the second group wasn't emphasized at all, in that first half, instead of the better part of an hour spent with characters that have no bearing on the story at all?

It was to throw you off and humanize them more then just the random bunch of girls who get killed off 5 minutes into the movie which you would see as random when it showed how Stuntman mike watched his prey before killing it , the second group was emphasized alot with their differences with talks like "Zoe the cat", carrying a gun, why they even went to the middle of bum fuck no where(the movie shoot and Zoe wanting to see the car), their relationships.

I would say you get bored cause as you pointed out in your reply to some one else, YOU HAVE A SHORT TERM MEMORY. see what you saw as "unnesscary sideplots" which KB actually had none really they just built the character more if you notice none featured a character that wasn't affected by the bride's actions. Death proof same thing, it builds character cause if it was just the chase scene(which was only about 15 minutes at MOST on the DVD) would you have wanted to spend 5 bucks on it to rent?

Have you seen basterds yet? at my place across the street is 6 bucks just have to be there for the first showing (11-12 ish)

it's a fun action packed movie if you haven't and I believe the only reason why the japanese might get bored is cause it dosen't involve the japanese at all. the scenes that might boring you are prolonged drama scenes you might find overly drawn out, much like death proof and Kill bill, but actually help build character and intense moments.

Besides, every presenter in the world uses cue cards or a teleprompter anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is, as long as I look into the camera somewhat often.
