This is an unknown butterfly toy learning aid with a few new extra controls and the extra circuitry inside to back it up. The orignal toy has 3 modes, and will say the letter or word on the wing buttons, or even spell it out. Additionally, the two green buttons on the butterfly's body plays a little beep tune, which is great for control tweaking on the fly. This has been improved with the addition of a wide pitch control to take the sounds from low bass rumbling square waves to ultra high chirps, body contacts for performance, and a low frequency oscillator, which opens up a range of laser, wobble and tremolo effects. The body contacts give a slight response when you wave your hand close to them, almost like controlling a theremin!
As always, a large jack socket has been added to allow you to record the output straight into your computer, or run it through some effects pedals for even more sonic mangling!
Added Features:
Pitch Knob
2 Body Contacts
LFO Rate
LFO Rate Indicator LED
LFO Shape
LFO Depth
1/4" Jack Socket

hey dude i'm circuit bending one of these little love bugs myself right now, where did you find the pitch mod?
sybi0t 6 months ago
@sybi0t Just lick your fingers and prod the circuit board a bit, the pitch resistor's pretty easy to find!

Hey, do you have schematics on this, I found some
pitches and glitches, but I like to cheat some if possible.
Keep up the awesome work

I didn't keep any on this, like the other one you asked about it's an external circuit doing the LFO work. I only found the pitch personally, what kind of glitches were you getting?
I've had two through, both circuit boards were tiny little squares with a blob chip, but the second was the only time i've seen a white blob!
