If we are not careful, the current push in this country for biometrics -- the use of genetic markers, facial recognition, hand-scanning, fingerprint scanning and eye scanning for identification purposes -- may provide a database for future generations who, ignorant of the past, may be condemned to repeat it. @Cacadore it's really not surprising. the swastika, up until right around this movie, used to be a symbol of good luck and good will, but has forever been ruined in this day and time. many symbols have gone through this transformation.

@FREEW0RLD2012 Hey genius you forgot to add that those smoking advertisements paid for by Phillip-Morris. The doctor in them was paid by big tobacco not the Federal government. Secondly, evidence that smoking was linked to lung cancer began to slowly come out in the 1950s and 1960s about the same time that advertisement you mentioned originally aired in TIME magazine.
