  • Read He'll in a Small Place by Bernard Fall. The French troops showed unimaginable bravery after being placed in a very difficult position. Vive La France!

Why should French people be outraged? They could have prevented the whole thing but did not. Again, there is no one to blame but the politicians and the French officers in charge. The French have this curious habit of consistently underestimating the abilities of their opponent, especially those from so called 'third world' countries.Only idiots would choose air support to a position which was overlooked by higher ground. It's all history now thank goodness.

  • im not french but are french people outrage about how their soldiers were treated by the vietminh after they surrender at dien bien phu? Making them march for almost 200 miles to prison camps near china border and hardly giving them food like one small rice bag a day. I think around 18,000 french surrender, only less than 4,000 came back to france. It would had been better for them to fight to the death than to surrender and died slowly

  • fuck it, look at the history they stole canada, america, and declare freedom by saying but in fact they are no freedom, they control that land and out source the natural rich terrain for they own gain. Man when i think of it that make me sick.

  • The worst about this is the french people.

French Army always does outstanding job but there are leftist people at home sabotaging everything.

Democracy at home unfortunately kills any serious military undertaking

  • We do not want war. We want freedom. I'm Vietnamese.

  • @glasfurd31 the french????

the foreign legion and the auxiliary troops who die in mass were brave in the war and in the siege the french only show they suberb as always

the war was lost before dien bien phu this was a pathetic show of arrogance

put a fucking fort in the middle of the jungle with no air support and with only a airlift for the supplies(neutralized by the vietnamese antiaircraft)

    come on be realistic!

  • @streetmusicdefrance u dont need to thank me for that, i just care about the history true, not some shitty lies just to humiliate a country.

  • @glasfurd31 They have no choice but to be brave. They have now where to run. They are in the defensive. It is the vietmin that are braver. they attack knowing that they will be shoot by entrenched french fries when they can wait for them to starve and die of injury. They could have just bombard them with cannons.
