Arts school confidential is Fkin Hilarious as an ex art school student it's pretty accurate the amount of crazy bitches, stupid critiques, and outworldly bizarre situations I'd find myself in. i lived in a apt down the street from an insane asylum for 2b/1b $250 a month rent that i split with another student we survived on all you can eat $3 happy hours. most of the time i woke up in war paint after falling asleep on my paints trying to finish a piece. needless to say I miss the good old days

Do you realize how hypocritical you sound?
First of all, technique is the backbone of art. Just because a modern artist doesn't use a technique shared by past artists does not mean he hasn't created his OWN technique. Furthermore, the technique of later days was new when it was created. We are constantly evolving on old ways, but just like that, we'd be nowhere without it. Art Nouveau, Dadaism, graffiti art for goodness sakes, wouldn't exist without Da Vinci, Renoir, or the fucking cavemen.
