Take a tour of Tsingy de Bemaraha Nature Reserve in Toliary, Madagascar -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.

These rough and spiky rock fields, found in western Madagascar, are unlike anything else in the world.

This place is called the Tsingy de Bemaraha Nature Reserve and covers an area of about 152,000 hectares.

The southern part of the reserve has become a national park, with public access, while the northern end is a strict reserve, with no access.

The sharp rocks of the nature reserve, limestone formations called Karst, are known locally as tsingy, giving the park its name.

There are many species of plants and animals, some unique to the location, that call the Tsingy de Bemaraha Nature Reserve their home.

This amazing place is a popular destination for both nature lovers and those doing scientific study on the local wildlife.
