@black1888tm yea all pros are printed on the CD itself. I bought a printer that canprint straight on the CD and so far so good

@bianess06 Direct printing on disc. :)
Ask yourself why professional CDs are printed upon and not labeled with printed labes. :)

@black1888tm Not to mention they peel up over time. Took a while but it happens!

What software were you using to stretch out the bleed on the dvd cover?
Thanks

@cdrom2go Disagree. If you stick the label yourself on disc there are great (read: 100%) chances that it will be slightly off center (even the smallest part of an inch) which will cause trouble when your computer is reading the disc. It's not uncommon that those discs end up being scratched.
If you're just printing for aesthetic reasons labels are fine, but if you plan to use them stay away from them!

@cdrom2go Thank you. I will definitely check it out because I am looking for a labeling solution for my clients DVDs
So which is the best form of labeling. Direct on disc or printing on labels?

@bianess06 Both forms are fine. It really depends on the printer that you buy and how much time you have. If you goo with labels you'll have to peel and stick all the labels on each disc. Direct to disc printing bypasses that step, but normally the disc publishers can be a little slow, especially when compared to your standard laser printer. Primera just released their new 4100 series, which is wicked fast. It prints a full-color disc in 6 seconds. Check out the videos of it on our channel.

I bought CD-R's with the white blank cover on them. Can I spray paint my logo or write on it with a black marker or will the color run in the future?

It all depends on what you mean by white blank cover. Inkjet printable discs are porous and should hold pigment well, but Thermal printable discs are smooth and are meant for high heat to transfer a dye or wax based pigment. We don't spray paint discs, so we are not sure if that would work on either disc surface. It might also depend on the type of spray paint you are using. Most permanent markers will work almost anywhere.
