Ridiculous pedal, as you can hear. The most insane fuzz I've ever heard. Sounds like a nuclear holocaust! If you turn the tone knob off and hit the tone boost button then roll the tone off on your guitar and use the neck pickup, you get this over the top octave up effect! Reminiscient of the Univox Superfuzz.

The original Fender Blender was used on a few Smashing Pumpkins songs. It was also used by Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine. The version in this video is the reissue. It's a faithful recreation. Can't really think of anything else to say except that I love this pedal. But talk about over the top... sheesh...

These videos really don't showcase ANYTHING BUT... the effects pedal itself. I'm not trying to win any guitar playing awards here... I recorded all of these quickly, through a tiny amp that has a belt-clip on the back LOL so yea...

Once I get my Marshall back, I'm going to record videos with better sound quality using a Shure Sm57 and a recording program. I guess I'll combine some effects as well.

  • i love the hell out of this pedal, i ordered one based on this video and it came today. it's so much more aggressive in person; totally doom inducing, organ rupturing sonic death! it makes me think of an ampeg scrambler that is some how more evil. it's been a long time since i have had a pedal that i can just dime out all the knobs and go to town.

  • @CaptainErn recording this video actually put me in the hospital for 3 weeks.

  • @MrJohnnydel

Does this pedal cut through a band mix? Like, is it very scooped?

  • @ChickenFaeces Well it's actually very muddy. I've heard of combining it with a compressor.. that'll give you a little more control. Although... manipulating the tone knob on this pedal and using a lot of volume will probably give you the desired result as well. I think the tone boost adds a major shot of mids.

  • @MrJohnnydel

Does it handle anything other than single notes? Or will it just cause a nuclear holocaust if you try to play some rhythm?

  • @ChickenFaeces mostly nuclear holocaust. like the opening chords in this video. unfortunately, it's very difficult to tell in this video, as i am using an older video camera and a tiny, belt-clip, guitar amp.

check out the song Slunk by the Smashing Pumpkins. there's a video on youtube of them performing the song live on Japanese TV. they use this pedal for rhythm. that video might give you a better idea... or at least a different perspective.
