read an article by Rob Sheffield of R Stone, he recommended this band. They are great. A rock band that mentions Mass, that's different. Always something new in rock, true, it's not dead.

I just discovered these guys about a month ago. Anybody that believes rock is dead has never listened to The Hold Steady.

Seen them four times now. Each time is a great experience. Rarely do I see a band with that much enthusiasm. If you have a chance, see a show. Closest thing to a religious experience I've seen at a show.
