there was nothing on subtracting fractions with (UNLIKE) denominators

You make a good point. I try and make the videos as short as possible and assume that some concepts are already learned. But I realize that sometimes they aren't.
If you have a specific question, you may ask it and if I can answer, I will.

If someone doesn't understand fractions, how would they know what the LCD is and how you got it.. Hellooo, some people just dont get it...If your reading a book, would you skip words? Math is a language and every word and movement should be defined and explained...Do that and you'll be the only teach that people go to near and far. Thanks for doing something anyway. Most dont.

what is LCM??
yobiworld 2 years ago
The LCM (least common multiple) is the same as the LCD (least common denominator)--the smallest number that BOTH unlike denominators can be multiplied into.
So for example, if you have two fractions, 1/4 and 3/5, 20 would be your LCM because this is the smallest number that 4 and 5 can be multiplied into.
Sometimes the LCM can be one of the denominators in the original problem.

you should make a vid on words like LCM. So that beginners like me understand what your talking about :)

This is a good suggestion. I will consider making these videos.
