I JUST got my Subspecies boxset last week, which I also ordered through that 50% off special. Mine was on backorder, but I thought the cases and artwork was really cheap. Love the series though.

Yea I really liked the series, but we seem to be the minority, I see most people hating on Sub as well as Full Moon flicks.

The kangaroo company is a decoy or dummy distributor set-up by Charles Band to escape copyright laws and make his discs region free. Its complicated.

The box set pissed me off too. BS cgi backgrounds, same fucking layout (even the DVD menus are the same; bloodstorm is missing commentary!), typical shitty clamshells and the cardboard box is paper thin. I like Full Moon's older stuff, but their shitty packaging/shipping methods and awful new DVDs are going to be the death of them.
