HistoryLover is right, Perseus was lost, so he prayed to the gods whilst on his quest for Medusa's head, Zues sent down Hermes with Winged Sandals to aid him, and Hermes told him where he could find the 3 sisters who knew where the Nymph's were so that he could obtain weapons. Hermes was essential in the quest, whoever used Percy Jackson the film as their way of learning mythology shouldn't be learning it at all, it has so many errors.

@HistoryLover1550 Actually Luke gave Percy the shoes(High tops) that Hermes gave to Luke and Luke rigged them to drag him down to Tartarus along with Zues's Bolt and Hades's Helm of Darkness Ares,God of War, gave him a backpack with a special affect that (like his pen Riptide) if he lost it it would reappear on him so he wouldnt lose it by accident or purpose. He never had any winged sandals in clash of the titans btw:) get owned by a 12 year old HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:)))

it was Hermes who gave perseus his winged sandals to help him get to his destinations in his quest. Clash of the Titans should've stuck to this fact!
