Actually, it used to be a law in Maryland to not catch or sell female blue crabs. I don't know why they changed that. Now people catch and serve them, Me, I always feel wierd contributing to depletion of the genetic stream and usually don't eat the females if I can help it. Anybody who knows why the law was "relaxed" is welcome to tell us. Thanks for watching! Sharon

@Dano78229 Well if someone is going to make a video called "How to eat Maryland Blue Crab" than it should be authentic....and "REAL" crab eaters will tell you these people are a joke....get a boat and go crabbing in the northern rivers flowing into the Chesapeake on the Eastern Shore of MD, then get a bunch of people and a bunch of beer and do it up

@va2dubv if you get it from asian market, they get the females cause aisan dont care, but the americans do care to put the females back in the ocean so they can reproduce,
