From the wooden models to the bad color versions of the Honeymooners, wow.

Awesome! This is PURE perfection! Jackie Gleason is the Greatest! thanks!

Yes, 'uLOVE', the "Trip To Europe" episodes were originally staged in the middle of the 1956-'57 season (with Audrey and Joyce Randolph) -without the elaborate production numbers- on Jackie's variety show. All he did was update the scripts, and added musical numbers by Lyn Duddy & Jerry Bresler.

Of course, the original sponsor I.D.'s are missing at :48- and they often went like this:
GLEA GIRL #4: "Brought to you by Marlboro cigarettes- 'Come To Where the Flavor Is...Come To Marlboro Country'!"
GLEA GIRL #5: "And by Johnson Wax, makers of Pledge- For Waxed Beauty Instantly...Every Time You Dust".
GLEA GIRL #6: "And away we go!!".

Man, does this take me back! As a kid I took this kind of television so for granted, assuming it--and great, larger than life stars like Gleason--would always be around. Live and learn, eh?
