here is how to change your version number in text edit, nice little hack for fooling friends!

  • So eg:

    if you had um...10.2, and you changed it to say 10.3.

    would that allow you to run things like MS office 2004, wich need 10.3

  • yes but sometimes eg if u install quicktime for 10.5 when u hav 10.4 it can stuff up, but office shouldnt harm ure mac
