This is a Time-Lapse film I created in summer 2006 using a dash mounted camera.
This film is made from 2696 individual photographs.
The actual duration of this car journey was 43 minutes!.

The starting point is the car park next to Breedon on the hill church, the end of the film is on Agard Street,Derby.

More details on the route :
Start at car park outside The Priory Church of St Mary and St Hardulph, Breedon on the Hill is a village in North West Leicestershire, England.
0.23 on the left is an 18th century village lock-up, Breedon on the Hill village.
0.33 The Village of Wilson.
0.40 Melbourne village.
0.45 Turning right at Melbourne Market Place onto Derby road.
1.04 Stanton by bridge village.
1.06 The start of Swarkeston bridge, just under one mile long and with 17 arches, is the longest stone built bridge in England!
1.14 The end of Swarkeston bridge, Crewe and Harpur Arms on the left side.
1.20 Edge of Chellaston, Derby. The Bonnie Prince pub on the island.
1.26 Rose and Crown pub, Chellaston.
1.33 Shelton Lock.
1.43 Turning left onto Merrill Way
1.45 Rolls-Royce on Victory Road.
2.05 The Oast House pub near Showcase Cinemas
2.18 Warwick Avenue/Burton Road junction
2.26 Turning right onto Uttoxeter New Road
2.39 Waiting at bottom of Uttoxeter Old Road/junction with Ashbourne road.

  • Nice work :) If you dont mind me asking how far apart was each shot taken? only looks like a second or two. I have tried similar with my Canon EOS 350d and dont really like the thought of how much it is going to stress the camera running it so fast. What camera did you use?
