McCARTNEY & WINGS at SOUNDSHOP

An extremely rare video recording (actually 8mm with sound) of Paul and Linda McCartney when they recorded in Nashville TN for two weeks in 1974. I was blessed to be the the recording engineer for these sessions. I have to credit the late Gil Gillam for the photography. The picture quality is not great but it's the only visual record of this event.

I had intermitant contact with him over the years as long as Linda was alive. Unfortunately didn't get to see him when he appeared here in concert back in July 2010...he was in and out of town in one day. Did get to see the show though and it was INCREDIBLE! I was kinda disappointed that he didn't play "Junior's Farm". LOL

I only wish I had the original Super 8mm film of this. The fellow who shot this film

back then died years ago and I have no idea what happened to the original. I was so fortunate that he was kind enough to have a VHS copy made of it for me shortly before he died.

I would not have the vaguest idea where to even look for the original. Great idea if I did though. :o)

Hey folks, thanks for watching...I was naturally very proud to have worked on these sessions.

When Juniors Farm was playing we were in the control room listening to playback.

I know this because the door into the studio was open.

When Sally G was playing in the control room we were either tracking or overdubbing...I don't recall which.

Can you go into a bit more detail on what was happening that day? I can hear Junior's Farm and Sally G. being played back. Was it a tracking session or were you mixing?
