i am so glad i live in a country where we have a good public health system. i had to get two root canals last year (yeah my teeth are rubbish) - and i didn't have to pay anything! yay austria!!

And that's why people should brush, floss, and get a check up when they're supposed to. The cost of a toothbrush, some floss, and two cleanings a year is more than offset by what you don't spend on a root canal or three (Apologies for the curmudgeonly tone. My dad's a dentist and he gets frustrated when people don't follow his advice and then think it's his fault when what would have been a cheap fix becomes an expensive procedure).
