Not quite true. X and many Japanese bands ALWAYS used partially recorded back ground tracks, especially on live tv but they even did it in live concerts. However, they are actually playing. The solos are real, the singing is real, ect... They are just playing on top of it.

CDというか、オケの音ですね。ヒデのリード部分のギターソロ、­CDと同様に最後音のびてますが、映像のヒデはライブ同様、パタ­とのハモリをPATAと同時に弾いていますね。
