  • @TheAhmedSKhalifa youre an idiot, you wouldnt know a judo throw if it landed you on your head

  • @kostas160 :55 is the standard or classical Kesa gatame, underhooking the far arm is Kuzure or modified Kesa gatame in classic Judo it is a known variation

  • @kostas160 If you use your own bodyweight right, he can not get out. In judo both excist, this one and the one you are talking about. Werdum prefers the underhook, Karo doesn't. Wich ever you are used to will work the best for you...

  • According to Fabricio Werdum the position at 0:55 is WRONG!!! Check "Fabricio Werdum Technique Week 3 - Kimura " on Youtube where Werdum says that the guy on top should have an underhook at the opposite arm as well... Reason being that in the position here, the bottom guy can use his left arm and scramble back up

  • @TheAhmedSKhalifa youre a dumbass and you obviously dont know much ufc if youve never heard of karo... checkout his vids... hes a fag just like you but he can fight... and would definitely slam you on your head repeatedly

  • @TheAhmedSKhalifa Karo was in the UFC... He was a standout for a few years... and he never lost to a submission, especially not by giving up his back. He's nailed that throw in fights, and he's flipped GSP.

  • This is why I've never heard of you, Karo. Because you think in an MMA setting giving an opponent your back is a good idea. I can count how many judo throws I've seen in the UFC on my left foot.

  • @mrkitanai1 I don't buy arguments by authority. He said "which is more safe". If common sense doesn't tell you that that is false -- standing you can easily support his head/neck and keep them clear of the mat, on your knees you can't, duh! -- I've given you where to find discussion about the injuries specific to this. Yes... I've done it from my knees in torments. Won matches with it and also (once) dislocated a guy's shoulder blade. I'm not saying it isn't effective, just it isn't safer.

  • @BW022 But you don't fight at the level of MMA that Karo does - BIG, BIG difference between judo and MMA. Karo is the authority here - he's got the credentials and hardward to back it up. Let's leave it at that. Besides, there are a TON of videos of Olympic-level judoka, dropping to their knees and pulling off spectacular ippon seio nage.

  • @mrkitanai1 14 years in Judo including competing at the national level and instructing. Dropping to your knees risks shoulder and neck injuries to uki -- ideally you want uki to land flat on his back, not to drive his neck/shoulder into the mat with 300+ lbs of weight on it. You don't drop to your knees in practice and you don't teach people to do it. Street fight... fine. Safe... never. If isn't a matter of authority, anyone can Google "judo knee drop" or "judo drop seonage".
