This is a time lapse video I made of my Roomba 570 Vacuum Cleaner. It works great. I have it clean my entire place (930 square feet) every Tuesday and Friday when I'm at work. In this video I used the virtual Wall / Lighthouse to keep the robot in the cameras view.

  • Fantastic job! Thank you for enlightening me on how good this really is. After whatching it go last night, I was a bit sceptic. But this time lapse really shows it works.

Allow me to pose a question, though: how energy efficient is it to have a fireplace on with ya window open?

  • The fire place runs of natural gas which is included in my Strata Fee, so it costs me $0. Yes I admit its not efficient, I just like venting my place every other day and I guess it was a cold day so the fireplace was running.

  • IT works great om my hardwood floors. But I heard that they break down if you have lot of pet hair and long haired carpet.

  • It certainly does SUCK!

  • this looks so lame...i like the neato's way much more/

  • @TheShocker187 I have two cats, and I have a carpeted apartment. I just empty the bin after each use, and it works perfectly.

  • @LukaszWiklendt

The Neato VX-11 actually maps the room. But it's afraid of chair legs. The Roomba actually does a better job of cleaning.

  • @LadyDeirdre

It's actually not that smart. It does do some calculations to estimate the size of the room, but only to decide how long to run for. It does not know where it is at any given time. It basically cycles through a series of behaviors that over time will cover the entire floor. It's a matter of statistics. Very simple solution to a complex problem. It is sort of frustrating to watch, but it works incredibly well.

  • CAN YOU FUCK IT?

  • @YourFace180 It has 4 cliff detectors so it doesn't go down the stairs :-)

  • My question is... What happens when it is at the top of the stairs? Does it detect it like it detect's walls?

  • That thing has OCD

  • i love this song
