Oh HELL yeah. This series defines so much about what is magical about gaming! So happy to see it get a small taste of its due! Often, I wish this particular brand of the genre would come back. It was such a brilliant mix of funny and menacing. And you can't deny the atmosphere and punch of a quest for glory game. Thank you so much! this made my day.

@Beeblebroxianable Yeah it was a great series I liked the darker more serious tone of SOD over the others as well. The finale was fantastic I was just put back by the fact Katrina died And Erana stayed dead lol. Too bad the sequel was such a let down though. This game was full of bugs but I managed to beat it on dosbox, but Dragon Fire was a complete mess with all the patches and work arounds and hours of trying to make my own I still couldn't beat it...oh well lol RIP Sierra

@Beeblebroxianable The only thing I disliked about QFGV was that they made Erana's voice so !@#$ing weird. I loved the game, aside from that. I never had any technical issues.

Indie devs from all around could go there and make their own kind of adventure game much like Quest For Glory!

Awesome stuff. Infinitely better than the original midi version, I didn't like the electric guitar in that one, but in this one it rocks.

The greatest part about the Quest for Glory series that made it so unique and enjoyable is that you weren't some king guy trying to get married. Your adventures actually mattered on a grand scope, so you were always filled with a certain sense of accomplishment after you completed them and got your medal/adoption/kidnapped. I still get goosebumps when I watch the finale of any of the games.

@Zoooqie Yeah, Agreed. I remember being blown away by the Katrina reveal the first time around; though in retrospect it was really pretty obvious. (Hey, I was like 12.) Did you see that there's an independent remake of QFG2? Great reason to revisit the series! 5 was a great big letdown, yeah. Not on the story end, but on the technical end. Should have just left it in the old school instead of trying to make it "modern". I remember getting it all loaded up and saying WTH did they do to my game!?
