PS22 Chorus & Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland "CAN YOU HEAR"

The PS22 Chorus of 2010 had an amazing opportunity to perform with the inspirational Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland today at the Cross Cultural Youth Festival in Washington Heights! The CBOI has a really incredible backstory, and you can find out more about them here:

The chorus sang the beautiful song, "Can You Hear Me" by Jim Papoulis, and were accompanied by the the orchestra for the performance. PS22 was one of several groups performing with the extremely talented youth orchestra. It was an awesome day of collaborations, and the festival included performances from Keltic Dreams and the program featured in the acclaimed documentary, Mad Hot Ballroom.

Great job as always! My students have done this song a few times, and we're performing it SATB with a HS honors choir in about two weeks. It is an all-time favorite of ours!

PS. The name is Can You Hear, not Can You Hear Me in case someone is looking for the music. You can get it from JW Pepper in SATB, SAB or SSA, and you can get an accompaniment CD if you want the full orchestra effect but don't have an orchestra.

I'm so excited that they had this opportunity and rose so inspiritationally to the occasion. Goosebumps.

I just feel that for their repertoire to be complete they should probably do something with a gangsta rapper.

DANG!!! my choir is singing this and we are &th and *th graders and these kids are better!!!! well there was a diference like we dont have any movements an the part after the begining the altos are singing oooo's and ahhhh's hehe
