This video demonstrates the responsiveness of the Palmer Performance DashCommand software using the following test computer: 7" monitor, MicroATX mother board w/ AMD 3100~1.8GHz, 960Mb RAM, built in VGA controller with shared 64Mb memory, 1024x768
The result is not bad, but not exactly what we wanted. We'll need to look into a different motherboard that can accommodate a dual or quad core CPU.
We are currently using this setup in our dedicated track corrado. It's a poor man's digi-dash. Or grassroots, depending on your point of view.
Update:
After further testing, it turns out that the reason the gauges were performing slower than desired was that I had set the "color quality" in Windows to be 16bit. DashCommand renders its dashboards in 32bit color quality and therefore the display settings need to be set to 32bit as well.
