  • @cheesemonkey1990 I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I plain forgot! August 2 is the feast of the Portiuncula. St Francis obtained from the Pope a special plenary indulgence for those who on that day visited that little chapel. Today a plenary indulgence for the poor souls can be obtained by visiting any Catholic Church from noon on August 1 to noon on August 2. I believe the usualy conditions for a plenary indulgence apply.

  • @francissisterspeoria thank you. what's the significance of 8-2-10 for Franciscans?

  • @cheesemonkey1990 Congratulations! August 2, a good franciscan date. :)

  • @francissisterspeoria will do. I myself am joining the franciscans of the Immaculate (check out their vocation video here on youtube [franciscan vocations]) on August second. I must also add to what a few others have alreay said, it is wonderful that all of you wear your habits. too many communityes refuse to do that now adays.

  • @cheesemonkey1990

Thank you. Please do keep praying for new vocations to religious life.

    God bless you.

  • @francissisterspeoria I live in peoria myself, not too far from OSF Hospital. This is an amazing video. I hope that God will keep your community fresh with new vocations! We need more vocations to the Religious life for sure!

  • Thank you!

And Thank you for your prayers for vocations.

    God bless you.

  • Wow! It's nice to see sisters in habits in the USA! The habit (be it a modern or a traditional one) surely makes a difference! It is a witness to the world...a preaching without the use of words...It is a reminder of the Divine and the things that truly matters...like COMPASSION, DEDICATION AND HOLINESS! May God bless you with more vocations! :)
