@johnbondy The Chief runs the scene, that is his only job. You try to make him sound as if he is a coward and does not care.. Your thinking is way off.. He is in command, talking on the radio, no firefighters are in danger, the chief always stays back away and out of the way of the firefighters he is directing.. He as a better view of the scene that way. He as nothing to worry about, the firefighters are in the collapse safe zone, meaning their not in danger from structure collapse.
