The 1975 DOC SAVAGE movie has many shortcomings, but the worst are the Saturday morning cartoon-style narration and particularly the simply awful music (including a theme song) of John Philip Sousa marches. Here's the opening of the film with a rousing (and familiar!) adventure theme overlaid and really makes a world of difference. If only it could be rescored and the narration deleted (or altered), it would be a much better film. With any luck, the new DOC SAVAGE film will be made and be everything this should have been (but with a 21st century polish).
[This was just an idle fun project, with no disrespect intended towards the copyright owners of Doc Savage, the film or Raiders of the Lost Ark.]
@hammersmithprod Doc is definitely > Indy! But JPS's music sucks as a background to Doc..

Are you serious? This is Doc Savage! This is not Indiana Jones! Doc would kick Jones' butt all over the arctic.
This is a travesty. I am ashamed to have watched any part of this. I feel sullied. Ron Ely is the one and only Doc. There is only one composer that can display the breadth and depth of Doc Savage, and that composer is John Fricking Phillips Sousa. You must stop.
Now.

@Neville6000 Thank you. I'm hoping something will happen with Shane Black's treatment, but no news has come out in over a year, so it's probably descended to the ninth circle of development hell.

Love this concept, great job. Too bad that neither George Lucas or Steven Spielberg were or are able to do a movie version of this character.
