Sounds like an awesome guitar you're getting, would be cool if you posted a video of that guitar when you get it! =)

  • fanned fret guitars are also called multi-scale guitars. they extend or shorten the scale length of the guitar on a certain side so lower tunings sound less dark or higher tunings dont sound so brittle

his guitar is tuned lower than he normally does this song, because it has a baritone scale at the top and a normal scale on the bottom (27"-25.5")

i know this because im getting a fanned 8 string electric guitar made with the multi-scale feature

  • very cool

  • They also make the basses more bass-ey and the highs more trebl-ey if you get my drift?

  • no problem sorry it took so long!

  • Thanks for clarification!

  • yes it helps with intonation but it doesn't allow for more frets on the thicker strings. it does however make it a lot easier to play the higher frets on the bottom strings but it also makes it more difficult to play the higher frets on the top strings.

  • I was there great gig!!

  • yes

  • I heard rumors that it also helps with intonation and allows for more frets on the thicker strings. Is that true?
