Installation of a 1000 Gallon rain barrel collection system in Minnesota. Still photos and a few video clips of the project as it progressed. Next season there will be a solar pump, overflow and a leaf filter installed.

  • this is great!!! Looks like it would create a lot of water pressure too. Wondering how far can you bring the hose before it starts to lose pressure?

  • @whatinspiresu

We put out 200+ feet of regular garden hose and we also use a splitter on the 1 1/2 inch outlet for a second hose. There is always enough pressure to move the water wherever we need.

  • Is this one side of the buildings roof worth of rain or some how both?

  • @fdeldredge one side of roof, thanks...

  • Nice setup you have...although I'm not sure how necessary the tie downs are.

  • @YttriumNitrate the tie downs are for winter...when its empty. We get some strong winds....
